The design department is beavering away on a very involved country estate renovation. The brief is to embellish the character of the property whilst gently moving it into the 21st century. When period architecture forms the backbone of the design, attention to every detail is so important. This work- in- progress storyboard gives you a snapshot of the beautiful passementerie the designers plan to use on bolster cushions, the leading edge of imposing curtains and across the wide expanse of impressive pelmets. Finished with cut glass crystals, these dreamy trimmings add light-catching detail and are all the more beautiful in evening light. It’s going to be an exquisite home.
We’re finding some really beautiful glass lighting this season. This seductive twist of glass for a stunning lamp base would add a glamorous accent colour to a neutral scheme. It’s such a timeless design and suits both a classic or contemporary home.
There’s always a good reason to set the table beautifully and have fun creating a look with glassware and freshly laundered napkins- the thought and care it takes is always appreciated. These glass leopard placemats and coasters are nothing short of fabulous. We’ve used them in the London showroom on a glass dining table with coloured glass accessories although they look equally stunning on mahogany or on any of the darker woods coming through this season.
When you want to treat your home to something new, this set of oriental inspired etched glass tumblers has no end of uses. They make really pretty water glasses for a relaxed table setting or run them along the mantelpiece filled with nightlights. The showroom team love to use them dotted around the showroom filled with late summer flowers.
Clients often ask for advice on caring for very special glassware. From experience, we’ve found this professional tip works wonders. If the inside of your favourite glass vase or decanter has white tide marks or not looking its gleaming best, make up a strong solution of white vinegar with a little water and leave to soak overnight. Rinse well before using!
